CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

Senior Municipal Engineer – Hamilton, ON

Duties and Responsibilities
Senior Engineer responsible for project management, senior engineering and supervision of staff on municipal linear infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include studies, preliminary and detail design, contract documents, contract administration, liaison with clients, co-ordinating approvals, cost estimates and budgets and QA/QC. Additional responsibilities will include preparation of expressions of interest and proposals for new projects.

Qualifications

  • A university degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
  • A minimum of 10 years related design experience on municipal projects
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario
  • Infrastructure Asset Management and computer applications for infrastructure analysis of sewers, watermain and other municipal infrastructure is an added asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES

Junior/Intermediate Municipal Infrastructure Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities
Junior/Intermediate Municipal Engineer to complete studies, analysis, design, construction services and management of watermain and sewer projects. This opportunity is available to individuals with design and contract preparation and the ability to deal effectively with clients, contractors, regulatory/approval authorities.

Qualifications

  • A university degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
  • Relevant experience in Trenchless Technology Engineering, Infrastructure Asset Management and computer applications for infrastructure analysis of sewers, watermain and other municipal infrastructure is an added asset.
  • Applicants must be licensed or eligible to be licensed with the PEO in Ontario.
  • Ideal candidate will have 1 -5 years’ experience.

Intermediate Municipal Infrastructure Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities
Intermediate Municipal Engineer to complete studies, analysis, design, construction services and management of roadway, watermain and sewer projects. This opportunity is available to individuals with demonstrated design and contract preparation capabilities and the ability to deal effectively with clients, contractors, regulatory/approval authorities. Experience in Trenchless Technology Engineering, Infrastructure Asset Management and computer applications for infrastructure analysis of sewers, watermain and other municipal infrastructure is an added asset. Applicants must be licensed with the PEO.

Qualifications

  • A university degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering

Municipal Infrastructure CAD Operator/Designer - Ottawa

Duties and Responsibilities
This opportunity is available to individuals with demonstrated experience in preparation of sewer and watermain design alignments, design details and design sheets as well as detailed knowledge of roadway design elements. Primary responsibility will be preparation of construction drawings for municipal infrastructure projects. The individual must have a minimum of 4 years experience with a strong background in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
